According to a recent article Marilyn Monroe had strong feelings for civil rights, for black equality,was angry at red-baiting and McCarthyism, and hated FBI director J. Edgar Hoover.
I thought that this composite image that I had created some years ago, touching upon the imagery of Marilyn Monroe and the homeless, relates to this characterization of her point of view.
